Job summary

Tria Recruitment seeks a Solution Architect to lead end-to-end supply chain and inventory architecture for a major retail technology transformation. The role is based in London, with 2–3 days onsite weekly, and a contract rate of £54,000–£94,000 per year outside IR35.

You will design solutions covering supplier distribution centres, retail outlets, and central operations, ensuring compliance, scalability, and security across ERP and SCM platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Solution Architect or Domain Architect in supply chain/inventory environments.
• Strong background in retail environments, preferably multi-brand and high-volume.
• Experience with ERP and supply chain platforms (SAP S/4HANA, SAP MM/WM/EWM, SAP IBP, Oracle).
• TOGAF certified or equivalent enterprise architecture experience.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end supply chain and inventory solutions for supplier distribution centres, retail outlets, and central operations.
• Define solutions supporting inventory lifecycle management (shelf-life, expiry tracking, batch/lot traceability, food safety, regulatory compliance).
• Produce and maintain solution architecture artefacts across domains and workstreams.
• Define target and transitional state architectures for supply chain capabilities.
• Apply TOGAF-aligned architecture principles and contribute to enterprise architecture standards.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and target operating model.
• Define and enforce architecture patterns and guardrails across supply chain systems.
• Provide architecture governance across delivery teams and external vendors.
• Support ERP and supply chain transformation programmes including implementation and upgrades.
• Work with delivery teams to meet functional and non-functional requirements (scalability, security, resilience).
• Support vendor selection, RFP processes, and solution evaluations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Domain Architect within supply chain and inventory environments
• Strong background in retail environments, preferably multi-brand, high-volume, and complex operations
• Experience designing or delivering inventory, stock, and warehouse management solutions
• Experience with ERP and supply chain platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP MM/WM/EWM, SAP IBP, Oracle, or similar
• Experience working in complex, global enterprise environments
• TOGAF certified, or equivalent enterprise architecture framework experience
• Experience in food retail, food service, FMCG, or perishable supply chains is desirable

This is a hands‑on architecture role focused on designing and governing end‑to‑end solutions across a complex, multi‑brand, high‑volume retail environment. The position is based in London with 2 to 3 days per week onsite, offered as a contract role at c775/day outside IR35.
