The Work You'll Do

The Solution Architect will support and expand Sovos’ global ISV ecosystem, engaging with current and prospective strategic ISVs throughout pre- and post-sales, ensuring they maximize Sovos solutions' value via technical and compliance-related product envisioning.

As a key member of a new team, you'll lead in understanding and anticipating ISV partners' technical and compliance needs. Fluency in APIs is essential, as you'll demonstrate Sovos solutions' capabilities now and in the future. You will report directly to the VP of Marketplace & eCommerce.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with Partner Account Managers to identify new ISVs and support existing partnerships.
• Engaging target ISVs to foster collaborations for joint embedded/white-label offerings.
• Leading solutioning during ISV client discovery to maximize product penetration and address technical, compliance, and GTM challenges, including delivering detailed solution design documents.
• Ensuring knowledge transfer with SMEs and providing market feedback.
• Working with various teams to include ISVs in account planning, maximizing co-sell opportunities.
• Building relationships with ISV Product and Compliance leaders to establish trust and ongoing value creation.
• Representing Sovos at marketing events, customer advisory boards, and user groups.
• Partnering with Product & Professional Services teams for effective implementation.
• Acting as an escalation point for support queries involving ISV-specific input.
• Maintaining integrity and demonstrating initiative, drive, and enthusiasm.

What We Need From You

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years’ experience in tax/ERP technology consulting or similar roles.
• Understanding of global tax compliance, accounting basics, and indirect tax processes.
• Experience with enterprise integrations like IaaS, APIs, webhooks.
• Support experience with ISVs in pre-sales, services, or support roles.
• Strong team orientation and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Self-motivated with a drive to succeed.
