Contract Opportunity: Solution Architect / EUD Tech Lead (Windows 11)

We’re hiring a Solution Architect / Technical Lead to support a major BAU and Obsolescence Programme within the Defence sector.

If you’re a Microsoft digital workplace expert with deep hands-on and leadership experience, this is your chance to make a real impact on a high-profile programme.

The Role

We're looking for a Solution Architect / EUD Tech Lead with deep subject matter expertise in Microsoft technologies, especially around Windows 11 and End User Device transformation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead technical delivery and solution assurance across a multi-supplier environment.
• Support the PM and Enterprise Architect, acting as the technical authority.
• Develop and present architecture artefacts through established governance.
• Translate business/IT requirements into robust, secure technical solutions.
• Drive the team through design and delivery with clarity and leadership.

You must bring hands-on and leadership experience with:

• Microsoft Defender for Endpoint & security tooling
• Entra ID / Identity Governance
• Secure build creation, optimisation & accreditation (Official Sensitive)
• Device & Application Lifecycle Management
• NIST / CIS security frameworks and hardened builds

Ideal Candidate:

• 5–10+ years in EUD / Windows platform architecture
• Background in hands-on engineering but now in a strategic/lead role
• Experienced in Agile/Sprint-based delivery
• Skilled in stakeholder communication, RAID logs, and project planning
• Comfortable leading diverse technical teams in high-pressure environments
• Has worked closely with InfoSec to define and implement security controls
• Familiar with Microsoft best practice blueprints and secure configuration

Start: ASAP

Initial Term: Through to end of 2025, with strong extension potential into 2026

Location: Remote-first, with occasional travel required
