We have an exciting new opportunity for a Solution Architect / Defence & Government Specialist to join our talented team. What you'll be doing

As a Solution Architect focusing on Defence and Government, you will leverage your networking and secure communications expertise to realize Arqit's vision. This customer-centric role involves delivering technical presentations and demonstrations, understanding client needs, developing solutions for live projects, and supporting pre-sales activities including bids and engagements.

This role offers the chance to work with government agencies, defence primes, OEM vendors, and SMEs both in the UK and internationally, within a fast-paced, innovative environment.

You will work directly with customers to understand their architecture, identify integration points, and assist in integrating our solutions. You will design and implement innovative solutions, deliver training, collaborate with R&D and product teams, and advocate for customers within Arqit.

What we're looking for
  • Experience in secure networks within military or defence contexts.
  • Strong customer relations and presentation skills.
  • Excellent time and project management abilities.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience designing and setting up secure networks and architecture.
  • Multiple years of rolling out technical projects across platforms.
  • Professional Service Engineering or similar consultancy experience.
Essential technical experience:
  • Networking and communications background, with experience with routers, firewalls, VPNs.
  • Knowledge of IPsec, TLS, WireGuard protocols.
  • Cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Experience with Linux OS and command-line tools.
  • Ability to produce technical documentation such as diagrams and specifications.
Useful to have:
  • Experience with edge computing, IoT devices.
  • Setting up secure networks for mobile endpoints.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, Oracle, Google Cloud.
  • Programming skills in Python, Java, C++.
  • Sector-specific knowledge of current and future solution needs.

Note: Ability to work in the UK without restrictions and obtain UK security clearance are ESSENTIAL.
