Azure Architect

Job Description:

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Modernization Architect to lead our cloud transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of microservices architecture, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Should be hands-on in performing analysis, drive decisions, presenting the analysis results, planning the Azure consumption, building target Azure architecture, etc.
• You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-modernization solutions that drive our business forward
• Extensive experience in modernizing Java based monolith applications to Microservices based architecture on Azure
• Extensive experience in DevSecOps and SRE

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of microservices architecture on Azure.
• Architect and deploy scalable, reliable, and secure solutions using AKS.
• Design and manage PostgreSQL databases in a cloud environment.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure best practices in microservices architecture.
• Conduct assessments of existing applications and recommend modernization strategies.
• Develop and maintain architectural documentation and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with security and governance policies.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or ARM templates.
• Oversee DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and manage Azure landing zones.
• Handle configuration, monitoring, and optimization of cloud resources.
• Manage cloud costs and optimize resource usage.
• Develop and enforce policies and governance frameworks.
• Deliver Azure cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company and assist in modernizing efforts by planning.
• Build Azure cloud solutions with related IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• Experienced in having conversations, discussions and connect with cross functional teams, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Design solution-independent architecture models that map business services to cloud application stacks.
• Continuously manage, monitor, and update architecture models as business needs evolve and additional cloud services become available.
• Assist product owners, solution architects, and application architects in designing scalable, highly available, secure, cost-effective solutions that leverage cloud services.
• Define and document cloud solution architecture(s) including technical designs and diagrams.
• Expert level in Infrastructure & Application architecting in Azure Cloud including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.
• Has strong experience in migration legacy applications to Azure Cloud with related cloud services.
• Expert in Azure cloud cost model and services.
• Coordinate and help the Development team in building the migration plans.
• Coordinate and help the Development team in building the cost-benefit analysis document.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of migrating from Oracle to PostgreSQL in Azure is a plus.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or ARM templates.
• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
