Solution Architect - AWS, API, Microservices, Remote, FinTech

Salary - £90,000/£100,000 + 10% Bonus + Benefits

Location - London, Remote

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with a strong background in microservices, AWS cloud technologies, and financial systems to play a key role in designing and implementing innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, a deep understanding of financial systems, and a proven track record of delivering scalable and reliable solutions in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
2. Design and architect scalable, resilient, and secure microservices-based applications on AWS cloud platform.
3. Develop API strategies and integrations to enable seamless communication between different systems and services.
4. Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment.

Skills

1. Extensive experience with microservices architecture, including design patterns, containerisation, and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
2. Strong proficiency in AWS cloud services, including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, and IAM.
3. In-depth knowledge of secure financial systems, including banking, payments, trading, or risk management.
4. Hands-on experience with API development, RESTful principles, and API management platforms.
5. Proven track record of delivering projects using agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
