Job summary

Harvey Nash Group is partnering with a UK-wide publicly funded organisation to appoint a Cloud Solution Architect who will shape the cloud and data strategy, guide architectural decisions and drive large-scale digital transformation across a diverse technology estate.

You will operate in a hybrid model with Coventry onsite 2–3 days per week, define secure, scalable platform designs, promote best practices, and mentor delivery teams across programmes to realise measurable business value.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading solution architecture and cloud transformation initiatives within complex organisations.
• Strong Microsoft Azure expertise and experience designing cloud-native solutions.
• Experience architecting modern data platforms, integration solutions and governance frameworks.
• Track record of delivering solutions from discovery and design through to implementation and live service.

The Opportunity

You’ll sit at the heart of an ambitious transformation programme, working across cloud, data, integration and modernisation initiatives.

Working closely with business leaders, delivery teams and technology partners, you’ll help define the architectural vision, establish best practice and ensure technology investments deliver long‑term value.

What They’re Looking For

We're keen to speak with experienced architects who combine strong cloud expertise with a passion for designing modern, data‑driven platforms.

You’ll likely bring:

• Proven experience leading solution architecture and cloud transformation initiatives within complex organisations.
• Strong Microsoft Azure expertise and experience designing cloud‑native solutions.
• Experience architecting modern data platforms, integration solutions and governance frameworks.
• A track record of delivering solutions from discovery and design through to implementation and live service.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Experience establishing architecture standards, governance processes and technical best practice.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, data ingestion and modern interoperability approaches.

Industry experience within agriculture, food production or a related sector would be advantageous, but is by no means essential.
