The Solution Architects are part of the Architecture practice within the CTO organisation, reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer. They are responsible for designing end-to-end solutions for change initiatives such as projects, programmes, value streams, and innovation efforts, aligned with Enterprise Principles, Roadmaps, and Vision.

Solution Architects promote technology standards, patterns, and best practices. They contribute their expertise to enterprise roadmaps and participate in governance forums to ensure ongoing conformity to these standards.

They provide technology consultancy and design support to value streams, working with Lead Solution Architects, Senior and Staff Engineers, and Heads of Tech to ensure alignment with roadmaps and optimal use of enterprise assets.

Main Duties:

• Collaborate with Lead Solution Architects to develop and own technical solutions from conception to delivery, ensuring business value realization.
• Participate in governance forums to ensure solutions adhere to standards, managing divergences and escalating issues as needed.
• Build and maintain relationships with technical and business stakeholders to align technology and business strategies.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the architecture for the value stream.
• Create high-quality documentation detailing decision points, building blocks, principles, rationale, roadmaps, and interdependencies, ensuring clarity and communication across value streams.
• Contribute to and maintain the architecture repository using Admiral's modelling tools and language.
• Write articles, papers, and speak at conferences or user groups on architectural topics. Lead in special interest groups related to their expertise.
• Promote architecture practices within Admiral and associated organizations.
• Support innovation through research, report creation, and industry insights on emerging technologies and their potential impacts.
• Keep management informed and escalate issues as appropriate.
