Job summary

The Nippon Telegraph And Telephone Corporation (NTT) DATA is seeking experienced Solution Architects for UK Defence and National Security accounts, based in London or Birmingham. You will define architectural solutions, drive discovery, and work in agile multi-functional teams to deliver secure, cloud-enabled services.

Candidates will bring TOGAF/ArchiMate expertise, MBSE skills, and the ability to engage with military and civil stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in Defence delivery environments with governance and acquisition processes.
• Strong Solution Architecture experience delivering in Defence or National Security environments.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and cloud platforms including MODCloud or Defence cloud environments.
• Experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, NAF, or MODAF and modelling with ArchiMate.
• Experience delivering solutions with strict security controls and SbD principles.
• Experience defining high-level engineering approaches at programme level.
• Experience in MBSE and interpreting Sparx Enterprise Architect models.
• Broad knowledge of integration, data, and digital services with emerging technologies.
• Excellent communication and deliverable quality.
• Ability to engage with senior military officers, Civil Servants, suppliers, and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across Defence, customers, and suppliers.
• UK Security Check clearance or eligible; DV clearance desirable.

Salary: £41,000 - 81,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require experience working in Defence delivery environments, with an understanding of Defence governance, acquisition processes, military decision-making, and collaborative working across military, Civil Service, and supplier organisations.
• We require strong Solution Architecture experience, with demonstrable delivery within Defence, National Security, or other complex, highly regulated environments.
• We require strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures and cloud platforms, including experience of MODCloud or equivalent Defence or National Security cloud environments.
• We require experience working within recognised architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, NAF, or MODAF, together with modelling approaches such as ArchiMate.
• We require experience delivering solutions with strict security controls where external security assurance is mandated, including awareness of Secure by Design (SbD) principles and their implementation.
• We require experience defining the high-level engineering approach at a programme level, such as defining transition states, architectural roadmaps, and identifying potential delivery options.
• We require experience working within an MBSE environment, with the ability to consume and interpret architecture models, viewpoints, and traceability held within Sparx Enterprise Architect to inform solution design and architectural decision-making.
• We require broad knowledge of technologies and applications such as integration and messaging services, digital services, case management, data integration, and an up-to-date understanding of emerging technology approaches.
• We require excellent communication skills and strengths in producing high-quality, accurate deliverables.
• We require the ability to engage credibly with senior military officers, Civil Servants, suppliers, and technical stakeholders.
• We require the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders and build trusted relationships across Defence, customer, and supplier organisations.
• Candidates must hold, or be eligible to obtain, UK Security Check (SC) clearance; existing SC or DV clearance is highly desirable.
