The team is led by partner, Guy Sackett, and focuses on a broad range of Real Estate work, primarily residential-led development with a specialization in strategic land development projects. The team also handles commercial development projects, regeneration, and investment/asset management work for national companies, regional property firms, and owner/occupier clients. Additionally, they advise on niche natural capital projects including biodiversity net gain, water neutrality, and nutrient neutrality, providing offsite solutions to enable large-scale residential developments. The team manages both contentious and non-contentious agricultural matters.

Recent activities include:

  • Advising a national land promoter on strategic land promotion agreements nationwide;
  • Promoting a 250+ acre site in Sussex for up to 1,500 residential units, including education, leisure, and care facilities;
  • Representing habitat bank operators and mitigation providers on conservation covenants and natural capital projects;
  • Advising owner/occupiers on asset management, portfolio expansion, estate restructuring, and refinancing;
  • Supporting Further Education Colleges with lease, charge, sale, and redevelopment issues;
  • Advising on the acquisition and development of a mixed-use site in Leicester valued at approximately £50m, including offices, residential, hotel, student accommodation, and retail units.

  • Experience in residential or commercial development matters or general commercial property transactions;
  • Approximately 2–4 PQE is preferred.
