Join Our Clinical Negligence Team as a Grade B Solicitor (or Equivalent)

We are looking for a talented Solicitor (Grade B or equivalent) to join our experienced and growing team, many of whom hold prestigious accreditations from APIL, AvMA, and the Law Society Clinical Negligence Panel.

In this role, you will independently manage a variety of clinical negligence cases, ensuring they are handled with a proactive, client-focused, and commercially aware approach. Main Responsibilities for the role:

Accountable for:

• Managing an individual caseload
• Supporting and guiding the team to deliver excellent client service
• Contributing to proactive and commercial case management
• Supporting the Team Leader/Head of Department to meet financial and performance KPIs
• Effective and thorough time recording

Responsible for:

• Discussing and planning case tactics with the Team Leader/Head of Department
• Driving cases towards LOC, settlement, and service
• Ensuring relevant case information is collected and organized
• Managing cases proactively and commercially
• Coordinating case progression with internal and external parties
• Drafting legal documents including LOC and letters of instruction
• Negotiating settlements and handling proceedings as needed
• Handling litigation of claims
• Overseeing documentation and correspondence within the team
• Advising on technical case issues with support from senior staff

The ideal candidate will have:

• Recent experience managing a caseload
• 5+ years PQE or equivalent experience in Clinical Negligence
• Excellent organizational, communication, and drafting skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, Proclaim, and Excel
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
• Ability to mentor junior team members
• Flexibility and commitment to meeting deadlines
• Excellent client care skills
