Job description

At Scarsdale Solicitors, we understand that legal matters can be confusing and stressful. Our mission is to turn confusion into clarity for our clients by providing honest guidance to help them resolve their legal challenges.

To support our ambitions to grow our Motor Defence practice, we are looking for experienced Defence Lawyers to join our in-house team.

Our ideal candidates will have previous Motor Crime experience, representing clients who are subject to Police investigations and CPS prosecution in relation to a wide range of road traffic offences including speeding, careless driving, causing injury by careless driving, drunk driving, and driving without insurance.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have at least 2+ years PQE.
  • Have experience of the Criminal Justice System (England & Wales).
  • Have sound knowledge of motoring offences and the available defences.
  • Be smart and ambitious, capable of managing a busy case workload.
  • Be willing to travel anywhere in England and Wales if needed to support clients (full driving licence is essential).
  • Enjoy the challenge of managing complex legal issues.
  • Be a confident communicator (advocacy experience is preferred but not essential).
  • Be focussed on delivering a highly professional service to clients.

In return, we offer the chance of continued professional development, the opportunity to cross skill into other practice specialisms and the chance to work in small, fast-paced but supportive team.

If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
