Solicitor – Motor & Credit Hire Fraud

Belfast / Hybrid

A highly regarded law firm is seeking to appoint a litigation solicitor to join its specialist Counter Fraud team in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious solicitor eager to develop expertise in this complex and evolving area of law.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a caseload of predominantly litigated claims across County Court and High Court jurisdictions, including motor and credit hire fraud cases
  • Conducting advocacy at County Court and High Court, both in-person and remotely
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, offering expert legal support and strategic advice
  • Ensuring full compliance with client SLAs and internal protocols
  • Participating in business development and marketing efforts, including client training and networking events
  • Keeping up to date with legal developments and CPD requirements
  • Providing accurate management information (MI) reporting

Desirable Criteria

  • Qualified Solicitor (0–3 years PQE), ideally with litigation experience
  • Fraud experience desired but not essential
  • Familiarity with motor and credit hire claims is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of litigation processes and procedures in Northern Ireland
  • Confident negotiator and communicator with excellent analytical and investigative skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Commercially minded with a strategic approach to legal issues
