Solicitor / Legal Executive - Industrial Disease

Experienced Fee Earner - This Legal 500 Law firm is seeking an experienced fee earner to join its specialist disease litigation team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a unique and technical area of litigation, focusing on the defense of various disease claims.

Title: Solicitor or Legal Executive

Location: Remote

Salary: Up to £55,000

Previous Experience: Background in disease claims

About the Role

The successful applicant will handle a variety of Employer's Liability & Public Liability Disease claims, including respiratory and lung disease, skin disease, vibration injuries, and occupational cancer, including asbestos-related diseases.

The firm's client base includes insurers, reinsurers, TPAs, local authorities, and corporates. Experience in disease claims is highly desirable.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct investigations, take witness statements, and review medical records and reports
  • Collaborate with a large, experienced disease team
  • Handle work on behalf of insurers, reinsurers, and government authorities
  • Identify evidence requirements and liaise with third parties
  • Support Partners in client relationship management
  • Provide high-level client service at all stages
The ideal candidate

Experience in personal injury or civil litigation, ideally with disease claims or Employers' Liability claims, is preferred.
