Job summary

DWF Law LLP in Manchester is seeking a highly motivated Solicitor to join our market-leading Finance Litigation team. The successful candidate will provide advice and assistance across finance litigation matters, including asset and consumer finance.

The role is based in Manchester with a flexible, hybrid working approach, offering exposure to a national team and opportunities to contribute to business development.

Qualifications

• A qualified Solicitor or equivalent.
• Knowledge of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 and related regulations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of The Civil Procedure Rules 1998.
• Experience handling caseload independently or with a senior team.
• Ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and attention to detail.

• Manage a caseload of finance litigation matters under partner supervision.
• Provide advice and assistance on asset and consumer finance claims.
• Contribute to business development initiatives, thought leadership, and networking.

What will help you succeed in this role?

• A qualified Solicitor or equivalent.
• A sound knowledge of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 and associated regulations would be preferred.
• A sound knowledge of The Civil Procedure Rules 1998
• Previous experience handling in your own right or supporting a senior team member with a caseload.
• The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, whilst working to strict deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to quickly and carefully analyse files and sensitive data.
• Computer literate including proficient use of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
