Are you a dedicated legal professional with a passion for managing fast-track EL/PL (Employers’ Liability/Public Liability) cases? At Fletchers, we’re seeking a skilled EL/PL Solicitor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll take on the responsibility of handling a caseload of FastTrack claims, ensuring they are managed efficiently, in line with company policies, and in compliance with legal requirements. You’ll also collaborate with team members, providing support to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.

Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure cases progress in a timely and efficient manner.
- Progress files in line with KPIs.
- Liaise with clients, experts, barristers, third-party solicitors, and insurers as necessary.
- Handle all aspects of pre- and post-issue procedures cost-effectively.
- Pursue cases to conclusion.
- Ensure all actions per Proclaim Action List are completed promptly.
- Accurate time recording.
- Maintain client files in good order according to Lexcel and other quality standards.
- Supervise junior team members.

Essential Skills and Experience:
- Up-to-date knowledge of managing a FastTrack caseload.
- Understanding of the Pre-Action Protocol and Civil Procedure Rules.
- Knowledge of the MOJ Portal process, ‘six-pack’ regulations, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Occupiers’ Liability Act 1957, The Highways Act 1980.
- Litigation experience, including running cases to trial and leading cases.
- Knowledge of funding, assisting, and leading sign-ups.
- Case planning, identifying experts, and being proactive.
- Excellent court skills, including preparing proceedings, disclosure applications, hearings, directions, and liaising with experts and witnesses.
- Excellent people and client care skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Innovative and proactive approach.
- Flexible and committed to achieving results and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Full driving license.
