Standard 8 in Liverpool is seeking a Solicitor to join the Debt Recovery/Enforcement team. You will manage your own caseload focused on recovering money due after settlement, judgment, or breach of agreement.

The role involves 50/50 hybrid working with flexitime, starting between 7am and 10am, and a permanent full-time contract. Experience in debt recovery and enforcement is essential, with Proclaim knowledge advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in debt recovery and enforcement across civil litigation.
• Proficiency in drafting and negotiating settlement terms and costs.
• Experience with County Court proceedings and enforcement routes.

Responsabilités

• Manage debt recovery and enforcement caseload.
• Recover damages, costs, disbursements and other sums.
• Review settlement agreements, judgments and costs schedules.
• Monitor payments and identify defaults.
• Draft Letters Before Action and formal demands.
• Negotiate recovery of legal fees and expenses.
• Handle Part 8 proceedings and enforcement applications.
• Draft N260s and other court documents.
• Liaise with clients, defendants, courts and enforcement agents.
• Provide practical recovery strategy advice.

Solicitor - Debt Recovery / Enforcement

• Location: Liverpool
• Salary: £45,000-£55,000 DOE + bonus
• Contract: Permanent, full-time
• Working pattern: 50/50 hybrid with flexitime, starting between 7am and 10am

The role

The Solicitor will join the Enforcement Team, managing their own caseload focused on recovering money due following settlement, judgment or breach of agreement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a debt recovery and enforcement caseload
• Recovering damages, legal costs, disbursements and other outstanding sums
• Reviewing settlement agreements, judgments, court orders and costs schedules
• Monitoring payments and identifying defaults
• Drafting Letters Before Action and formal demands
• Negotiating recovery of legal fees and expenses
• Handling Part 8 proceedings and enforcement applications
• Drafting N260s and other court documentation
• Liaising with clients, defendants, courts and enforcement agents
• Progressing unpaid judgments, damages and costs through the appropriate enforcement route
• Providing practical advice on recovery strategy
