Oculus Legal Group is partnering with a prestigious Legal500-ranked firm to appoint a high-calibre Solicitor based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh with a background in criminal defence. This rare opportunity offers the chance to step into a leading Insurance team.

ROLE OVERVIEW

1. Responsible for managing a caseload primarily consisting of criminal defence matters, with a focus on road traffic accident (RTA) cases.
2. Provide support on civil personal injury defence cases as needed.
3. Effectively prioritise tasks to enhance productivity, ensuring compliance with court deadlines, procedural directions, and client service level agreements.
4. Develop and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally to support business development efforts and gain a comprehensive understanding of the Firm’s strategic goals and client expectations.
5. Act as a key support resource and point of contact for junior team members, offering guidance and mentorship as required.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

• 1+ years PQE within criminal defence.
• Civil defence experience is desirable but not essential.
