A local government council in Wales is seeking a professional to lead on their Corporate Concerns and Complaints Policy. The ideal candidate will provide support on access to information legislation and act as a liaison with the Information Commissioner. Familiarity with data protection principles is essential. To be responsible for leading on the Council’s Corporate Concerns and Complaints Policy and acting as the single point of contact and primary advisor to all relevant staff and the public in relation to complaints; and to act as the single point of contact for the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales.
To provide professional support and advice to the Data Protection Officer, and to the SIRO, on all matters relating to the Access to Information Legislation. To act as a point of contact for the Council with the Information Commissioner in relation to access to information.
