About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team, assisting solicitors with housing disrepair cases. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong interest in housing law and civil litigation, looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced legal environment.

You will support the casework team by managing documentation, liaising with clients and third parties, and helping to progress cases efficiently from initial instruction through to resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist solicitors with managing a caseload of housing disrepair claims

Draft legal documents, including letters of claim, witness statements, and court forms

Liaise with clients, surveyors, landlords, and other third parties

Review and collate evidence, including photographs, repair records, and expert reports

Maintain accurate case files and ensure deadlines are met

Prepare court bundles and support with trial preparation

Manage correspondence and general case administration

Ensure compliance with legal protocols and internal procedures

Requirements:

Law degree (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification (essential)

Previous experience in housing law, civil litigation, or disrepair cases (desirable)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise tasks effectively

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems
