Role and Experience Level

The firm is now seeking a talented Associate or Senior Associate (5+ PQE) to join its highly regarded Private Client team, based in SW London.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience across a broad range of private client work and a clear desire to deepen their expertise further. Those with experience in cross-border estates, trusts, tax, or capacity matters will be particularly welcomed, and the firm offers full support for STEP, ATT, or CTA qualifications.

This is an excellent step for someone ready to take greater ownership of client relationships, lead on technical work, and contribute meaningfully to the growth of a standout team.

Team and Culture

You’ll be joining a diverse and inclusive team of nearly 60 private client professionals, led by 9 approachable and well-respected partners. The team is known for its exceptional cross-border capabilities, with dual-qualified lawyers and specialists in complex tax, probate, and succession planning.

What sets this team apart is its collegiate, non-hierarchical culture, its investment in career progression, and its reputation as a go-to for private wealth matters, both domestic and international. Many of the firm’s lawyers are ranked individually, and internal referrals from across the firm are frequent—testament to the trust placed in the team’s technical ability and client care.

Key Responsibilities

Running a full caseload of private client matters, including:
Wills, LPAs, and estate planning
Trust creation, administration, and taxation
Probate and complex estate administration (including international elements)
Capital gains, inheritance and income tax planning
Advising high-net-worth individuals and families, including vulnerable clients
Supporting junior colleagues through supervision and mentoring
Playing an active role in business development and growing your referrer network
Providing exceptional client service and maintaining long-term relationships
Collaborating across departments for multi-disciplinary solutions

Required Skills and Qualifications

Solicitor qualified in England & Wales with 5+ years PQE in private client law
Strong academic background (2:1 degree minimum)
Broad experience across wills, estates, trusts, and tax planning
Confidence working with high-net-worth and international clients
STEP, ATT or CTA qualification (or working towards) is advantageous
Commercial awareness, client empathy, and exceptional attention to detail
A collaborative approach, with the ambition to contribute to team growth
