Job Title: Solicitor - Inquiries (Public & FAI) and Civil Department

Location: Glasgow, Scotland (Hybrid options available)

We are currently recruiting for a thriving, progressive law firm dedicated to fighting for justice, representing individuals and families inquiries and complex civil litigation cases. Our clients team are expanding and as such we are seeking a dedicated and motivated Solicitor to join their dynamic and fast-paced Inquiries and Civil Department.

Responsibilities
  • Handle civil litigation cases related to deaths in custody, clinical negligence and complex personal injury.
  • Represent clients in public inquiries and fatal accident inquiries (FAIs).
  • Engage in court appearances (Sheriff Court or higher) as necessary.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring excellent client care and service.
  • Collaborate with the wider team, while also working independently to achieve case milestones and objectives.
  • Work within a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and adhering to regulatory standards.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years PQE in civil litigation, with specific experience in personal injury or clinical negligence.
  • Exposure to public inquiries and/or fatal accident inquiries is highly desirable.
  • Experience with court appearances and litigation processes in Scotland.
  • Exceptional client care skills with the ability to handle sensitive, high-profile cases.
  • Highly motivated, proactive and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
