Job summary

Redkite Solicitors in Cardiff or Swansea is seeking a motivated Family Solicitor to join our growing Family team. You will manage your own caseload across private family matters, including divorce and finances, with opportunities to work on public law for those interested.

You will be supported by an experienced, collaborative group and benefit from a flexible hybrid working arrangement, strong client care standards and clear progression opportunities within our long-established Wales practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with experience in Family Law.
• Strong private family law experience.
• Public law children experience or willingness to learn.
• Excellent client care and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage caseloads.
• Commercial awareness and willingness to develop business networks.
• Experience with case management systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Managing your own caseload of family law matters with high-quality advice.
• Advising clients on divorce, finances, cohabitation disputes and private children proceedings.
• Supporting and developing experience in public law children matters where appropriate.
• Building strong relationships with clients and guiding them through sensitive matters.
• Preparing and drafting documents, applications and correspondence.
• Collaborating with the wider Family team to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Contributing to business development and raising the team's profile.

• Managingyour own caseload of family law matters, delivering high-quality legaladvice and excellent client care.


• Advisingclients on a range of private family law matters, including divorce,finances, cohabitation disputes and private children proceedings.


• Supportingand, where appropriate, developing experience in public law childrenmatters and care proceedings.


• Buildingstrong relationships with clients and guiding them through sensitive andoften challenging circumstances.


• Preparingand drafting legal documents, applications, statements and correspondence.


• Workingcollaboratively with colleagues across the wider Family team to achievethe best outcomes for clients.


• Developingprofessional networks and supporting business development initiatives toraise the profile of the team.

Requirements

Who we are lookingfor

• QualifiedSolicitor with experience in Family Law.


• Strongprivate family law experience.


• Publiclaw children experience or knowledge is desirable but not essential forcandidates willing to learn and develop in this area.


• Excellentclient care and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitivematters with professionalism and empathy.


• Strongorganisational skills and ability to manage a varied caseloadindependently.


• Commercialawareness and an interest in business development.


• Experienceof using case management systems and the full Microsoft Office suite.
