Job summary

Oculus Legal Group in Birmingham is seeking a Private Client Senior Associate or Legal Director with 5+ PQE to join the Private Wealth team on a full- or part-time basis.

You will manage a varied caseload advising high-net-worth individuals on complex wills, succession planning, trusts and probate, with strong support from a collaborative, international firm.

There is a clear progression path and a generous bonus scheme up to 20% with hybrid working.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 5+ PQE to join a leading Top 20 international law firm as a Senior Associate or Legal Director.

This is a genuine growth opportunity within a firm that is actively investing in and expanding its Private Client offering in the city.

The team already has a strong and consistent pipeline of high-quality instructions, so there is no requirement to bring a following. The focus is on delivering excellent client service, developing the team and building a long-term career within a supportive and collaborative environment.

You will join a friendly and highly experienced Private Wealth team, advising a broad range of high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners and entrepreneurs on complex and often high-value Private Client matters.

The Role

You will manage your own varied caseload while working closely with senior colleagues across the wider Private Wealth team.

Your work will include:

• Complex Wills, including trust provisions
• Estate planning and succession strategies
• Business succession planning
• Trust creation, administration and restructuring
• Probate and estate administration
• Inheritance Tax planning
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Wealth preservation for high-net-worth clients
• Advising business owners, entrepreneurs and high-net-worth families

You will have a high level of autonomy over your work, with strong support and supervision available where required.

There will also be opportunities to develop client relationships, contribute to the growth of the team and play an important role in the continued development of the firm's Private Client offering.

About You

You will ideally be a Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 5+ PQE, with strong experience across a broad range of Private Client matters.
