Employment Law Solicitor (Private Practice)

Location: 100% Remote

Salary: £66,000 + Performance-Based Bonus (Y1 £5k, Y2 £25k)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Employment Law Solicitor to join our dynamic private practice, with the flexibility to work fully remote from home. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload, provide expert guidance on employment law matters, and contribute to the firm’s growth. The successful candidate will be motivated, client-focused, and have a track record of handling employment cases in a private practice setting.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality advice on a range of employment law issues to individual and corporate clients, including employee rights, contracts, dismissals, grievances, and discrimination cases. Handle a varied caseload independently, from initial consultation to case resolution, ensuring excellent client service and compliance with legal standards. Represent clients in employment tribunals, mediations, and other dispute resolution processes as needed. Draft, review, and amend employment contracts, handbooks, policies, and other relevant legal documents. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, delivering timely, practical solutions tailored to client needs. Stay current with developments in employment law and advise clients accordingly to ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements

UK-qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years PQE in employment law within private practice. Comprehensive understanding of employment law with proven experience in advising clients and handling cases independently. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, providing clear, practical, and commercially viable advice. Ability to work independently, manage a caseload remotely, and stay organised in a flexible work environment. Confidence in tribunal representation and other formal proceedings is a plus.
