Job description

Solicitor needed in Bedford, £377.74 per day

To contribute to the provision of a comprehensive high-quality legal service to the Client and its service areas.

The main focus of the post is: adult social care, immigration, and education work including special educational needs.

  1. To provide legal advice and practice support, with an emphasis on Adult Social Care, Immigration, and Education.
  2. Willingness or ability to acquire knowledge to handle some child protection matters.
  3. To advise on Education issues, including special educational needs.
  4. Attend meetings such as Full Council, the Executive, Committees, and Working Groups as required.
  5. Conduct legal research and provide advice accordingly.
  6. Work in accordance with Lexcel or other quality management systems.
  7. Perform any other duties as requested by the Service Manager (ACE), Head of Legal Services, or the Assistant Chief Executive (Governance and HR) that are appropriate for the grade.
  8. Assist the Solicitor to the Client in monitoring activities.

This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
