About the Role

A high-growth technology business is looking for a skilled Commercial lawyer to support as the Sole Legal Counsel. The role will report to the parent company's General Counsel as well as have a dotted line to the CEO, providing significant autonomy and a wide range of responsibilities, supported by several members of the business. You will work closely with various stakeholders, particularly supporting the Sales and Supplier Management teams. The position will initially focus on the UK and US markets, where the company currently has a strong presence, but they are looking to expand into other markets very quickly.

What You'll Need to Succeed

The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, self-starter with an ability to take initiative. You will have prior experience working in-house in the technology/IT sector and enjoy a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating a wide scope of commercial contracts (SaaS, MSAs, statements of work, professional services agreements, licensing).
  • Experience working with third parties (distributors, subcontractors, etc.) and referral agreements.
  • Ability to advise across a range of matters, including, but not limited to, sales, employment, compliance, and trademarks.
  • Demonstrated involvement in RFP support.
  • Previous experience managing the contract lifecycle system and supporting its implementation.
  • Experience managing external counsel.
  • 4+ PQE as a guideline.
