Job summary

Rullion is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join a renewable energy team on a 12-month contract, working hybrid/remote with monthly UK team meetings in London, Edinburgh or Durham. The role covers sourcing; contract negotiations; and procurement governance for solar, battery storage, and private wire projects across the UK.

You will manage tenders, ITTs, supplier selection and contract negotiations, while ensuring value for money and compliance with procurement procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, commercial management or quantity surveying in project environments.
• Experience with NEC and FIDIC contract suites.
• Strong understanding of procurement principles and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement lifecycle from prequalification and ITT to contract award.
• Identify and select suppliers/contractors for projects.
• Prepare and issue ITTs for engineering, construction and equipment packages.
• Evaluate tenders, conduct discussions and ensure compliance.
• Lead contract negotiations for packages ranging from £250k to £30m.
• Prepare governance documents for financial commitments.
• Issue purchase orders and contracts with internal stakeholders.
• Develop procurement strategies aligned with project objectives.
• Monitor supplier and framework performance and improve efficiency.
• Support warranty claims, disputes and contract amendments.
• Build strong supplier relationships and ensure compliance with policies.
