Job description

Solar Roofer – Overview

We are currently working with a Renewable Energy company based in the Portsmouth area who are looking for Solar Roofers to join their team. The business has been operating since 2007 and has grown to a current turnover of £10 million. They have experienced significant growth in recent years and are looking to expand their Solar PV installation services across Hampshire.

The company focuses on ‘whole house retrofit’ projects, including Heat Systems such as Boilers and Heat Pumps, Insulation, and Solar PV & Battery Storage. Your role will involve attending domestic properties mainly in Hampshire (occasionally in Surrey and Berkshire) to install solar panels on private homes. You will work alongside an Electrician, handling tasks like cutting tiles, attaching railings, and running DC cables, while the Electrician wires, tests, and commissions the system. Typically, you will complete one job per day.

If interested, training is available for other tasks such as assisting with Heat Pump installations and remedial works on existing systems.

This is a mobile role requiring a full UK driving licence. Preference will be given to candidates living near Havant, Portsmouth, Fareham, or Gosport due to the substantial workload in these areas.
