Job summary

Sureserve is seeking a Solar PV Service Electrician to manage service schedules and maintenance across renewable energy systems in Leicester. You will assist with ASHP, GSHP, MVHR, and EAHP maintenance, requiring strong technical problem-solving and client-focused service.

The role requires Level 3 electrical qualifications, 18th Edition, and a valid UK driving licence. Experience in social housing and with heat pumps or district heating is desirable.

Qualifications

• BTEC/City & Guilds/BPEC-style electrical qualification including AM2 is required.
• Solar PV Installer Level 3 qualification is essential.
• 18th Edition wiring regulations certification required.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair renewable energy systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
• Conduct site assessments and audits to evaluate system efficiency and recommend improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime for clients.
• Provide training and support to clients on the operation and maintenance of their renewable energy systems.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop innovative solutions for system enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities and report on system performance.

Role Overview

Responsible for the service schedule of Solar PV systems with assistance for the maintenance and repair of renewable energy systems such as ASHP, GSHP, MVHR & EAHP. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair renewable energy systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety

Skills & Experience

• Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds, BPEC, or equivalent Electrical qualification including AM2 (essential)
• Solar PV Installer Qualification (Level 3) (essential)
• 18th Edition qualification (essential)
• Full valid UK driving licence (essential)
• Experience within social housing desirable
• Experience with heat pumps, district heating, or hybrid renewable systems
• Strong understanding of domestic hot water and low-temperature heating systems
• Strong technical report writing and communication skills
