Job summary

Valoris Group is seeking an experienced Solar PV Roofer to join our renewable energy team covering Reading and surrounding areas. You will lead the roofing elements of solar installations, ensuring mounting systems and panels are fitted accurately, securely and weather-tight.

The role requires proven solar PV roofing experience, a strong roofing background including pitched roofs, and confidence working at height on domestic and commercial properties.

Qualifications

• Solar PV roofing experience essential.
• Strong roofing background including pitched roofs.
• Confidence working at height on domestic and commercial properties.
• Experience fitting roof hooks, rails and mounting systems.
• Reliable with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Strong site safety and safe roof access knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Install roof hooks, rails, mounting systems and solar PV panels.
• Set out panel arrays per drawings and site requirements.
• Prepare roofs and fixings on tile, slate and other roofs.
• Maintain roof integrity during installations.
• Work closely with electricians and the wider installation team.
• Use ladders, scaffolding and roof access equipment safely.
• Maintain a tidy site and deliver a professional service.
