Job summary

Valoris Group is seeking an experienced Solar PV Roofer to join our growing renewable energy team in Reading and surrounding areas. This permanent role offers a £40,000 starting point depending on experience, with an ASAP start and ongoing project pipeline.

You will be responsible for roofing elements of solar PV installations, ensuring mounting systems and panels are fitted accurately, securely and weather-tight. Collaborative work with electricians and the wider team is essential.

Qualifications

• Solar PV roofing experience required.
• Strong roofing background with pitched roofs.
• Ability to work safely at height on domestic/commercial properties.
• Experience fitting roof hooks, rails and mounting systems.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
• Strong site safety understanding and safe roof access.
• Desirable: CSCS card and Manual Handling training, plus own tools and transport.

Responsibilities

• Install roof hooks, rails, mounting systems and solar PV panels.
• Set out panel arrays according to drawings and site requirements.
• Prepare roofs and complete fixings on tile, slate and other roof types.
• Maintain roof integrity during installations.
• Coordinate with electricians and installation team.
• Use ladders, scaffolding and roof access equipment safely.
• Keep site tidy and deliver a professional service.

With a consistent pipeline of domestic and commercial projects, this is an opportunity for a skilled roofer to put their solar experience to work alongside an established installation team.

Your Role

You'll take responsibility for the roofing elements of solar PV installations, ensuring mounting systems and panels are fitted accurately, securely and with a weather-tight finish.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing roof hooks, rails, mounting systems and solar PV panels.
• Setting out panel arrays in line with drawings and site requirements.
• Preparing roofs and completing fixings on tile, slate and other suitable roof types.
• Maintaining roof integrity throughout each installation.
• Working closely with electricians and the wider installation team.
• Using ladders, scaffolding and roof access equipment safely.
• Maintaining a tidy site and delivering a professional service.

What We're Looking For
