Job summary

MDE Consultants Ltd is seeking a Solar PV Installer to work across the UK on commercial Solar PV projects. The role involves assembling mounting systems, installing rails and brackets, and following detailed drawings and specs to ensure quality delivery.

Applicants should have Solar PV installation experience, strong mechanical fitting skills, and a solid safety mindset. Willingness to travel nationwide and stay away is essential; CSCS card and height safety qualifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience installing Solar PV systems on commercial or rooftop projects.
• Mechanical fitting or installation experience is required.
• Solid health & safety awareness and ability to follow RAMS.

Solar PV Installer

Location: UK Wide - Site Based, with nationwide travel and regular staying away

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + Travel / Staying Away Package

Position: Full Time

We are looking for Mechanical Fitters / Solar PV Installers to join commercial Solar PV installation teams working across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Assemble Solar PV mounting systems
• Install rails, brackets and associated equipment
• Work on commercial rooftop and ground-mounted systems
• Follow drawings and installation specifications
• Maintain high standards of quality and workmanship
• Support snagging and rectification works
• Work safely at height and in accordance with RAMS

Requirements

• Solar PV installation experience
• Mechanical fitting / installation experience
• Roofing, steelwork or construction background beneficial
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Good H&S awareness
• CSCS Card
• Full UK Driving Licence & Own vehicle
• Happy to travel and stay away nationwide
• Working at Height qualifications are advantageous
