Job summary

Octopus Energy is seeking a Solar PV Technical Sales Support Manager to lead the technical survey, design and post-install support for domestic solar PV installations across the UK. You will work with the low carbon product design team to ensure installation specifications are met and you will travel nationwide, supported by a company car.

You will need strong solar PV expertise, proven installation experience, excellent communication and leadership skills to guide a capable team and ensure

Qualifications

• Fully trained solar technical expert with proven domestic PV installation experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional work.
• City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification in electrical/solar work.
• Knowledge of 18th Edition regulations and testing/inspection standards.
• Formal Solar PV qualification or certification demonstrated in practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead on surveys to ensure technical viability for installation projects.
• Build and maintain a capable, flexible technical team with strong culture.
• Continuously improve the technical check and support process.
• Assist the sales team by answering technical questions for customers.
• Ensure technical rigour at stages with installation risk.
• Provide support with App and desktop inverter software for customers and installers.
