Job summary

Rock Recruitment is recruiting a fully qualified Solar PV Electrician to support a growing renewable energy business near Tamworth. You’ll join teams delivering solar PV installations, battery storage, and EV charging across commercial projects.

The role requires 2+ years in UK solar installs, Level 3 electrical qualifications, and 18th Edition with testing capability. Expect ongoing training, progression, and a supportive employer.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Electrician with Level 3 electrical qualifications.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in UK commercial solar installations.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations compliance and Testing qualifications (2391 or equivalent).
• AM2/AM2S qualification and valid ECS card.
• Full UK driving licence and based within 40 minutes of Tamworth.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain commercial solar PV systems.
• Work with battery storage and EV charging installations.
• Carry out electrical installation work and testing.
• Ensure compliance with electrical regulations and health and safety standards.
• Maintain records and electrical certifications.
• Travel to project locations as required.

We are recruiting for a fully qualified Solar PV Electrician to join a growing renewable energy business specialising in solar PV, EV charging and sustainable energy solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding team working across commercial renewable energy projects, including solar PV installations, battery storage and EV charging. You'll be joining a business that invests in its people, offering ongoing training, career progression and the opportunity to develop your skills across multiple renewable technologies.

What you'll be doing

• Installing and maintaining commercial solar PV systems
• Working with battery storage systems and EV charging installations
• Carrying out electrical installation work and associated testing
• Ensuring all work meets current electrical regulations and health and safety standards
• Working alongside installation teams to deliver projects efficiently
• Maintaining accurate job records and electrical certification
• Travelling to various project locations when required

What you'll need

• Fully qualified Electrician with relevant Level 3 electrical qualifications
• Minimum 2 years' experience in commercial solar installations within the UK
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Inspection and Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent)
• AM2/AM2S qualification
• Valid ECS card
• Full UK driving licence
• Must be based within a 40-minute drive of Tamworth
• Strong communication skills and a professional approach
