A leading energy efficiency firm in Stockton-on-Tees is seeking an experienced Solar Electrician to carry out installations and commissions for solar PV systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to sustainability, possess NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, and a passion for renewable energy. Key Responsibilities:
Carry out the installation, wiring, and commissioning of solar PV systems, including inverters, battery storage units, and EV charge points
Conduct on-site electrical assessments prior to system installations
Configure and test both AC and DC electrical circuits to ensure optimal system functionality and safety
Work collaboratively with clients, project managers, and installation teams to meet scheduled targets
Adhere strictly to BS7671 wiring standards and MCS installation guidelines
Provide technical support and fault diagnosis where necessary
Candidate Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
Solar PV installation certification
Proven experience working with domestic or commercial solar PV systems
Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for renewable energy technologies
Full UK driving licence required
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
ECS or CSCS card
Experience with battery storage and EV charging installations
Package & Benefits:
Annual salary of £40,000
£45,000 (based on qualifications and experience)
30 days paid holiday (including bank holidays)

Overtime available for Saturday work (one in three Saturdays, on a rota)

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am
5:00pm (40 hours/week, plus 30-minute unpaid lunch)
