An energy solutions provider is seeking a multi-skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join their B2B Solutions team, focusing on LV and HV electrical system designs. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in electrical design engineering and experience with AutoCAD and simulation tools. Responsibilities include leading designs, performing studies, and ensuring compliance with standards. Travel within the UK is required, and flexibility in working arrangements is available.
Electrical Design Engineer (HV/LV) - Energy Infrastructure & Solar PV
About the role: We need everyone's positive energy and innovative thinking to lead the transition to Net Zero. That's why we welcome applications from all backgrounds and experiences, and we offer a range of flexible working options to suit everyone.
Location: Home-based with regular UK travel
Our Energy Infrastructure Solutions business designs, builds and operates energy systems for industrial and commercial customers. We deliver a range of technologies including LV/HV distribution, Solar PV, CHP, and energy storage solutions. By combining different technologies, we maximise efficiency, resilience, and support our customers in achieving Net Zero.
Due to rapid growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our B2B Solutions team. You'll take ownership of the electrical design function across the full lifecycle of projects - from concept and feasibility through detailed design, specification, and commissioning. While solar PV experience would be highly desirable, your expertise in LV/HV electrical systems is the key focus of this role.
Working with Sales, Development Engineers, Supply Chain, Project Management and Installation teams, you'll deliver high-quality electrical designs that integrate seamlessly into large-scale commercial and industrial energy solutions.
It would be great if you had experience designing and integrating Solar PV systems (rooftop or ground-mounted), familiarity with PV modelling software such as PV*SOL or PVSyst, knowledge of PV manufacturers, components, and associated LV/HV works, an engineering qualification (Degree/HNC or equivalent), or a strong understanding of the commercial impact of design and engineering decisions.
