This opportunity is for you if you're a technically astute solar professional with design and project management experience who's ready to take complete ownership of commercial installations and establish yourself as a key member of our project team.

Role and responsibilities

As Solar PV Project Manager, you'll report directly to our Operations Director and have full autonomy to manage projects across the entire lifecycle - from project initiation through to final handover. You will own every stage: planning, execution, monitoring, control and closing. You will be the engineering authority managing client relationships, coordinating sub-contractors, and ensuring robust handovers from our design team. With our 20+ years of experience backing you, you'll have the freedom to apply your technical expertise while building lasting relationships that drive both project success and business growth.

Based from home, you'll work hands-on with commercial solar and BESS installations (100kWp to 3MW) plus domestic projects on a commercial scale. From AC/DC testing and inverter commissioning to BMS integration and G100 compliance, you'll use your engineering skills across the full technical spectrum.

About you

• 17th/18th Edition qualified engineer with solid commercial solar and BESS experience across the complete project lifecycle.
• Project management and design experience with proven ability to take projects from design stage through to delivery and handover.
• Technically excellent with AC/DC test result interpretation, inverter/BESS setup, validation and commissioning experience.
• Health and safety qualified (SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS/ECS) with experience in risk management and compliance.
• Ambitious and self-motivated. Looking for a role where your engineering expertise shapes project outcomes rather than just following procedures.
• Flexible to spend short periods away from home for site visits (1-2 days per week).
