Job summary

Birchwell Associates is seeking a Solar Project Manager to lead solar PV projects from planning and mobilisation through installation and handover across the South West England. You will coordinate clients, designers, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers to deliver safely, on time and to a high technical standard.

This permanent role offers ownership of projects from planning through handover, with opportunities to influence delivery standards.

Qualifications

• Strong experience managing solar, electrical, construction or renewable-energy projects.
• Knowledge of project planning, site delivery and subcontractor coordination.
• Familiarity with solar PV systems and related electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Manage solar projects from planning and mobilisation through installation and handover.
• Coordinate programmes, labour, subcontractors, suppliers and site logistics.
• Track budgets, progress, risks, variations and delivery milestones.
• Maintain high health and safety, quality and technical compliance.
• Provide clear communication to clients, internal teams and stakeholders.
• Complete project documentation, commissioning coordination and handover packs.
