Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 pa depending on experience

Reporting to: Senior Contracts Manager

A van is provided for travel to project sites. A full, clean driver’s license is required.

The Role

As a Solar Panel Installer at Geowarmth, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining renewable energy systems, with a primary focus on solar PV and solar thermal technologies. Your role will involve working on a diverse range of projects, from small residential installations to large-scale commercial systems.

This position will require travel across the North of England, with occasional overnight stays depending on project locations. Geowarmth provides accommodation and overnight allowances as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Installation and Maintenance: Install, test, and maintain solar PV and solar thermal systems to the highest quality standards.
  • System Commissioning: Ensure that installed systems meet performance specifications and comply with relevant regulations.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service, explaining system operations and answering client queries where necessary.
  • Site Management: Work effectively on various types of projects, including domestic, commercial, and new-build environments.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for you and your team.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with team members, project managers, and other trades to ensure successful project delivery.

What We’re Looking For

  • Technical Expertise: Experience in installing solar PV systems, solar thermal systems, and related electrical work.
  • Roofing Experience: Skilled in installing, repairing, and maintaining various roofing materials and systems.
  • Electrical Knowledge: Understanding of electrical components, wiring, and system integration.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve installation or maintenance issues efficiently.
  • Physical Fitness: Comfortable working at heights and handling equipment safely.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring installations meet performance and safety standards.
  • Teamwork: Effective collaboration with colleagues, project managers, and other trades.
  • Customer Service: Clear communication and professionalism when interacting with clients.
  • Health & Safety Awareness: Knowledge of industry safety practices and regulations.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to travel and stay overnight for projects as needed.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
