Astute People are partnering with a leading renewables business to recruit a Solar O&M Technician to support utility-scale solar PV sites across the UK. The role involves preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis and timely repairs to maximise performance on nationwide assets.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or related discipline
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
• 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification would be advantageous
• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting or commissioning electrical systems
• Previous experience within utility-scale or commercial solar PV would be beneficial

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across utility-scale solar PV sites
• Diagnose and repair faults on solar PV systems, electrical equipment and associated infrastructure
• Respond to reactive maintenance callouts to minimise site downtime
• Complete scheduled inspections and ensure sites remain compliant with health and safety standards
• Produce accurate maintenance reports and record all completed work
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance and site reliability
• Assist with the commissioning of new solar PV installations
• Ensure compliance with all company Health, Safety and Environmental policies
• Other duties as required
