Astute's Renewables are proud to be working with one of Europe's leading solar O&M specialists, supporting their continued UK growth. We are looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer to join their team, covering the Aberdeen area, with occasional travel as required.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Reporting to the Service Team Leader, you will:

  • Visual inspection activities, cleaning and report to management team.
  • Routine maintenance activities on modules, inverters, cables and connectors, DC and AC distribution boxes.
  • Routine maintenance activities on module mounting systems, fence and gates, inverter and transformer stations.
  • Routine maintenance activities on monitoring and communication equipment.
  • Routine maintenance activities on security system devices.
  • Fault finding on electrical components by means of visual inspections or professional site measurement activities.


Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Certification or equivalent.
  • At least five years' experience in industrial electrical installation and maintenance.
  • Previous Solar PV maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of DC electrical systems, high-voltage equipment, and occupational health & safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.

  • Willing and flexible to travel to sites as and when required
  • Strong in problem-solving and able to work under pressure.
