Job summary

A leading solar energy firm in the UK is seeking a qualified electrician to join their team. Responsible for the maintenance and fault finding on solar equipment, the role requires strong electrical knowledge and relevant industry qualifications.   • Engaging and managing subcontractors for site work.

The outline of the role:

  • Routine maintenance activities on modules, inverters, cables and connectors, DC and AC distribution boxes;
  • Routine maintenance activities on module mounting systems, fence and gates, inverter and transformer stations
  • Routine maintenance activities on monitoring and communication equipment (data logger, routers, sensors, etc.);
  • Fault finding on electrical components by means of visual inspections or professional site measurement activities
  • Engage and manage subcontractors;
  • Annual bonus
  • Annual inflation adjustments
  • 25 days PTO
  • Overtime can be paid out, or banked as TOIL
  • Extra-long lunch on a Wednesday
  • Full solar training

Requirements:

  • Strong electrical knowledge
  • 18th edition / NVQ 3
  • Electrical apprenticeship preferred
  • On the job experience with industrial/commercial electrical scale projects
