Start Date: ASAP

The Company:

An established independent energy specialist with over 25 years’ experience delivering innovative generation systems in the UK and overseas. The business has a proven track record in developing and delivering power generation projects and, since 2019, has expanded into flexible reserve generation, energy storage, and behind-the-meter solutions. With a growing project portfolio ranging from 500kW rooftop schemes to multi-MW ground-mount installations, the company is entering a period of significant growth and diversification.

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Head of Solar, you will join a rapidly expanding team and play a key role in the design, development, and delivery of new solar projects. You’ll be involved across the full lifecycle of projects - from proposals and grid applications through to construction and commissioning - providing technical expertise and driving high-quality outcomes.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with solar design and project engineering experience to work on diverse projects, contribute innovative ideas, and help shape the future of clean energy delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in the design and development of solar PV projects in the UK (rooftop and/or ground mount).
  • Competency in design and modelling tools such as PVsol, PvDesign, SolarEdge Designer, PVSyst, or similar.
  • Understanding of HV/LV grid connections and DNO applications.
  • Ability to prepare technical specifications, cost estimates, and tender documentation.
  • Strong communication skills and a track record of working collaboratively across technical and commercial teams.
  • Organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with cradle-to-grave project involvement, including construction oversight, would be highly beneficial.
  • Exposure to renewable heat, procurement, and contractor management is desirable.

What’s on Offer

  • The chance to work on diverse and high-impact solar and energy storage projects across the UK.
  • A collaborative and forward-thinking environment, where innovation and teamwork are at the core of delivery.
  • Career development opportunities within a growing organisation expanding into new markets.
  • Competitive package aligned with experience - Up to £45,000
