Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd are seeking a qualified Electrician with Solar PV experience for a permanent Solar Electrician role in Carlisle. You’ll be developed with on‑the‑job training and supported to gain solar qualifications.

The role covers domestic solar PV installation with progression into commercial solar projects, plus service and maintenance across Carlisle/Cumbria, Newcastle and Edinburgh. 40 hours per week with travel flexibility.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with Solar PV experience required.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Interest in progression to commercial solar projects.

Responsibilities

• Domestic solar PV installation, with progression into commercial solar installation.
• Some service, maintenance and fault-finding on solar PV systems.

Solar Electrician (Training on Commercial Solar)

£40,000 - £45,000 + Van + Training + Development into Commercial Solar + Long-Term Stability

Carlisle, Cumbria (Commutable from: Penrith, Workington, Whitehaven, Dumfries, Hexham, Newcastle, Kendal)

Are you a qualified Electrician with Solar PV experience, looking to join a growing specialist business where you'll be developed, upskilled and given a clear route into larger commercial projects as the company expands?

On offer is a permanent position with an established solar maintenance provider who have recently won major new contracts and are growing their team. You'll be properly backed with on-the-job development, including support to gain solar qualifications if needed, and long-term stability with consistent work.

In this role you'll cover the Carlisle / Cumbria area and support sites across to Newcastle and up to Edinburgh. You'll carry out installation work on domestic systems initially, with progression into commercial solar installation as you develop. There will also be elements of service and maintenance, so a flexible, practical mindset is key.

This role would suit a qualified Electrician with strong Solar PV experience, looking for a long-term position with development, variety and progression into commercial solar projects.
