Solar Electrician – Overview

Low Carbon Recruitment Ltd are currently working with one of the UK’s largest renewable energy companies, seeking a permanent Electrician to carry out Solar PV installations in Wolverhampton and the West Midlands area. The company has been established for over 15 years, specializing in installing renewable energy systems in domestic and light commercial properties. They are experiencing a steady growth period, having doubled their turnover in the past 5 years.

In this role, you will work in a two-man team alongside a Roofer/Panel Installer, installing Solar PV systems on private domestic properties within Wolverhampton and West Midlands. Your responsibilities include working as a team to complete installations: the roofer installs and secures the panels and runs the cables, while you wire up and commission the system. Most systems involve 6-12 panels, with some including battery storage systems.

The company has over 10 years of experience installing PV systems and operates with 30+ crews nationwide. They aim to simplify each installation process for their engineers. All sites are technically surveyed before installation, with scaffolding and infrastructure set up prior to arrival. Materials are delivered to site, including some spares for stock management.
