Job summary

Eco2Solar Ltd. in Middlesbrough is seeking a Renewables Electrician to install PV systems for new build housing developers, travel daily and join a growing, safety‑conscious team.

You will ensure high standards of quality and customer service, complete electrical certifications, and maintain H&S and QA paperwork, with audits and certificates handled the same day.

The package includes a company van, fuel card, 33 days holiday, pension, training and a generous bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in solar installations and/or domestic new builds is required.
• 18th Edition electrical qualifications (BS7671).
• N/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (Building and Structures) OR apprenticeship with AM2.
• Solar certification (BPEC or City & Guilds) Level 3 Award in the Installation of Small-Scale PV Systems is helpful.
• CSCS/ECS Card for site works and Testing and Inspection 2391-52 are desirable.
• Experience in 3-phase installations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Complete electrical certification and forms; provide certificates on installation day.
• Maintain health and safety standards; zero RIDDOR incidents and monthly HS reports.
• Ensure quality through audits; achieve compliant work and successful audits.

Job description

The role of the Renewables Electrician offers the right candidate the opportunity to build, develop and grow their career with a highly reputable and growing company. You will stay ahead of the latest technology and work with the UK's largest new build solar installer, in partnership with EON. Working in a safe and controlled environment, installing renewable energy systems for new build housing developers, your mission will be to achieve the highest standard of quality, safety and customer service in low-carbon electrical installations. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation of PV systems (inverters and generation meters), accurate and timely submission of paperwork, compliance with MCS and Health, Safety and Quality standards. This is a site-based role requiring daily travel, with occasional overnight stays. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential. You must have good technological skills and the ability to use apps to complete certifications and reports. You should be able to work both as part of a team and take overall responsibility for your personal workload, delivering excellent levels of service. A desire to put our clients' needs first and a thirst to develop your own skills is key.

Responsibilities

• Completion of electrical certification and forms - 25% of time, weekly: Provide certificates and forms same day of installation
• Health and safety capacity - 20% of time, monthly: Zero RIDDOR reportable accidents, H & S monthly report
• Successful audits - 10% of time, monthly: Quality compliant work, audited and successful percentage audits

Qualifications and Experience

It would be helpful but not essential if you have:

• Solar certification (BPEC or City & Guilds) Level 3 Award in the Installation of Small-Scale PV Systems
• CSCS/ECS Card for site works
• Testing and Inspection 2391-52
• Experience in 3-phase installations

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: £40,000 FTE plus a generous bonus scheme and benefits Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, You'd be joining a highly reputable and growing company with a real passion for sustainability, ecosystems and delivering a first-class service to their customers.
