Job description

Solar PV Electrician – Overview

We are working with a leading domestic and commercial renewable energy company that operates nationwide, installing Solar PV, Heat Pumps, and Insulation in domestic properties. Established in 2010, they have grown into a £100 million turnover business with a rapidly expanding Solar Division. They are looking for Solar Electricians in the local area to join their team, completing 1 installation per day on domestic properties.

In this role, you will be responsible for the installation of Solar PV and battery storage systems on domestic properties. You will work alongside a team of roofers, installing various models of Solar PV and Battery Storage systems. The company aims to simplify the installation process for you; they ensure all scaffolding is set up prior to your arrival and all materials are delivered to the site, so you won't need to wait for scaffolding or pick up materials from merchants.

The roofers will handle the installation of rails, panels, and DC cabling. Your responsibilities will include wiring, testing, and commissioning the systems and batteries. To qualify, you must have your 18th Edition, City & Guilds Level 3 Solar PV Installation qualification, and 2391 Test & Inspection certification.
