Job summary

Eko Talent is seeking a Solar PV Electrician for a UK-based installation and maintenance company. The role involves supporting domestic and commercial solar PV assets with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm. You will work on preventative and corrective maintenance, fault finding, testing, and reporting to ensure reliable operation.

The position offers a base salary around £60,000 per annum, with overtime, bonus potential, a company van and a fuel card as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Experience with solar PV maintenance and electrical systems.
• Fault-finding on inverters and LV/HV systems.
• Knowledge of UK HSE and electrical safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on domestic and commercial solar PV systems.
• Fault find and diagnose on inverters, transformers, LV/HV systems.
• Test and inspect AC/DC systems.
• Carry out thermographic inspections and string testing.
• Monitor plant performance and respond to alarms.
• Complete detailed service reports and maintain records.
• Support HV switching operations where authorised.
• Ensure full compliance with UK HSE and electrical safety standards.

About the Role:

We have partnered with a UK-based solar installation and maintenance company, maintaining multi-megawatt solar PV assets and helping drive the UK's clean energy transition. Due to continued portfolio growth, we are seeking a skilled Solar PV Technician to support the operation and maintenance of domestic and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on domestic and commercial solar PV systems
• Fault finding and diagnostics on inverters, transformers, LV/HV systems
• Testing and inspection (AC/DC systems)
• Thermographic inspections and string testing
• Monitoring plant performance and responding to alarms
• Completing detailed service reports and maintaining accurate records
• Supporting HV switching operations (where authorised)
• Ensuring full compliance with UK HSE and electrical safety standards
