Job summary

Sphere Solutions is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee large-scale solar farm projects in the South of England. You will manage EPC and D&B contracts, coordinate contractors and grid connections, ensure safety, programme and budget adherence, and travel as required.

Join a client-side role with hybrid working, 25 days leave, and a potential bonus after one year. A relevant degree and CSCS/SMSTS are advantageous.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience managing construction contracts on large-scale solar, wind, battery storage or similar electrical infrastructure projects.
• Hands-on experience administering EPC or D&B contracts, including change control, claims and commercial management.
• Knowledge of solar farm construction, grid connections and CDM regulations.
• Strong communication, negotiation and reporting skills; ability to manage multiple projects and contractors.
• Full UK driving licence; willingness to travel regularly, including overnight stays.
• Degree or professional qualification; CSCS card and SMSTS advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage EPC, grid connection and electrical contractors through pre-construction, delivery and commissioning.
• Administer construction contracts, including variations, payments, claims, delays and final accounts.
• Monitor programme, quality, costs, risk and health and safety.
• Coordinate technical advisers, contractors, stakeholders and grid connection providers.
• Undertake regular site visits, chair progress meetings and oversee testing, handover and defects.
